Checking and Changing Your PIP Variables In Getresponse
The "variables" section in your Getresponse is basically where you can make a change with one or two clicks and effect the links in all your messages.
This means that Stone can set up a 360 days campaign for different individuals and he doesn't have to change every message manually or individually.
For example one affiliate id in your Getresponse messages may look like this http://www.[[pre_sfi_id]]/MG
By going and inserting a variable in the [[pre_sfi_id]] field of the "variables" section of Getresponse you can automatically change this link in your followups. In this case I would insert quickinfo247.com/235051 in the [[pre_sfi_id]] field.
Now lets see how we check or change our "variables" which effect every message in our followups.
Checking Your "Variables"
Steps:
- Log into your Getresponse account here:
http://www.getresponse.com/login.html?
- Along the top of the page hold your mouse key over the "Prospects" section, scroll down to "Variables" and click.
- Your should now be on the "Variables" page. Scroll down and look to see all the "Variables" that effect every message in your PIP newsletter.
- Check that all the IDs match your affiliate IDs(You can find your id numbers in the welcome e-mails from each of the affiliate programs you joined when signing up for PIPS). Here is a list of what each variable relates to:
- domain_id = This is your main domain name, the one you registered and have hosted with Host4Profit.
- imc_id = This is your Internet Marketing Center ID. One of the affiliate programs you joined when signing up for PIPS.
- name_id = If this one isn't obvious then you need more than a training site:-). This is of course YOUR name.
- md_id = This is your MDI(Madison Dynamics) ID. One of the affiliate programs you joined when signing up for PIPS.
- sfi_id = This is your SFI(Six Figure Income) ID. One of the affiliate programs you joined when signing up for PIPS.
- pb_id = This is your Push Button Publishing ID. One of the affiliate programs you joined when signing up for PIPS.
- warrior_id = This is your Host4Profit ID. This relates to your H4P affiliate program and makes you commission on any people who sign up for hosting through your PIP affiliate site.
- If everything is fine then log out and be content that your followups are being sent to your prospects with YOUR IDs in the messages. You WILL get any commissions due to you.
Changing Your Variables
You only need to do this if any of your affiliate IDs are wrong. Otherwise things should be left as they are.
Steps:
Once you are on the "Variables" page(See steps one and two above)
-
Scroll to the "Variable Name" field.
- Enter the name of the variable you want to change (ie domain_id, imc_id etc.). It may be easier to copy and paste the name from the table below the "Variable Name" field.
- In the "Predefined Value:" enter your ID number or name or domain name depending on what you are wanting to change. Please make sure and put the names or numbers in the same format as they are at present (Don't put http://www.yourdomain.com or www.yourdomain.com when the format is yourdomain.com.).
- Leave the "add also for slave accounts (with preload-on-change set to this responder)" unchecked.
- Press the "Add/Update Variable" Button.
- Check to see that your changes have taken place.
I hope this has helped you achieve the desired effect.
